Maintenance of motorized gates – what I as a gate owner need to know!

It is the responsibility of the property owner or housing association to ensure that the motorized gate functions and meets safety requirements. This includes having the motorized gate inspected every two years by an independent accredited inspection company.

Service (care, maintenance and inspection) must be carried out continuously. If instructions from the manufacturer are missing, service must be carried out according to the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's regulations, i.e. taking into account frequency of use and the surrounding environment, but at least twice a year.

If there are instructions from the manufacturer, these should be applied in terms of both scope and time interval.
