Update of Swetic's Experience Document

As many in the Gate Group know, SWETIC's Experience Document is used by inspectors as a support in the work of assessing common deficiencies in motorized gates and gates. The purpose of the document is, as far as possible, to contribute to an equivalent assessment when inspecting the motorized gates and gates that are installed on the Swedish market.

The first edition of the Experience Document was published by SWETIC in May 2014, at the request of the Port Group Technical Committee. Since then, the document has been revised several times to ensure that the content is up-to-date, accurate and relevant as an assessment basis. In recent years, close cooperation between the Port Group and SWETIC has led to further updates and clarifications.

In the autumn of 2025, SWETIC published edition 6 of the Experience Document. Compared to the previous edition, the content has now been adapted to the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's latest regulations on motor-driven devices BFS 2025:11, 12 and 13. In addition, a clearer grouping of common deficiencies has been introduced, and several points have been clarified after dialogue between the Door Group and representatives from SWETIC.

At the Portgruppen training Safe port in practice You will receive an in-depth review of the latest Experience Document from SWETIC. The training also provides increased knowledge of current requirements and regulations for gates and gates.

Stay tuned for the next course opportunity at Port Group's website.
