Interesting spring meeting!
The spring meeting began on May 15, 2019 with a review of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning and the Swedish Work Environment Authority's project on the introduction of market control of motorized doors. The door group's expert, Jan Tegehall, reviewed new door standards and regulations for doors and presented a new fact sheet on safe loading docks.
Afterwards, the Port Group's chairman Henri Hupe, Reco Port AB, was thanked after eight years of appreciated and great commitment to the Port Group's operations. Afterwards, the customary annual and spring meetings were held. The new member Ett2Tre Garagaportar AB in Malmö introduced itself and was welcomed to the association. Ola Hansson, FAAC Nordic AB, was elected as the new chairman.
The day ended with dinner at Johannes Kök and the presentation of the award for Portis of the Year 2019, which was awarded to Per Eriksson, former Assa Abloy Entrance Systems Sweden AB, for his diligent work on the board and technical committee, and his ability to communicate the technically difficult to a level that all members could understand.
On the second day, May 16, the members were treated to an appreciated study visit to Garageportexperten's new and beautiful store in Linköping. After that, they visited the Swedish Air Force Museum with a Cold War theme and the DC-3. The day was rounded off with the 2019 Portis of the Year being treated to an exciting simulator flight!
